Formed in march 2001 the Duesseldorf based quintet Honeymunch is known for its unique mix of jazz and funk with an electronic flavour as well as for their qualities being an excellent live band. Their style could be best described as neo jazzfunk. The American series Sex & the City used their Song "Urxa" from their first album Solon, released in 2003 on the renowned label Irma, for a movie sequence. Now Solon is rereleased as mp3 on INFRACom!, available at our download shop. In June 2005 Honeymunch released their second album "Bunch? with INFRACom!. Honeymunch toured successfully playing more then 100 concerts in the last couple of years, playling at venues like Stadtgarten K?ln and at famous festivals like Ostseejazzfestival Rostock, Leverkusener Jazztage to name just a few. They also won the bandcontest at the Europhonics Jazz Festival in Dortmund.

Honeymunch's appealing live shows of jazz & funk combined with electronic club music are influenced by downbeat, drum'n'bass up to high-tempo discobeats. Relaxed jazzguitar sounds, Fender Rhodes and incentive percussion are based on latin / brazil and funky grooves with enough space for jazzy improvisation and spontaneous developments live on stage.
